The month of May brings us warmer weather, cherry blossoms, renewed love for Canadian nature – and most importantly – the festival season begins! Street festivals, film festivals, art exhibits, charity runs – they are all back in full force. Here are the events you don’t want to miss this month:

1. Colour Me Rad

TWICE the color stations of any other color run and 100% more color than every other 5K or marathon you’ve ever heard of.

 

2. ArtFest – Arts&Crafts Show

Celebrating painting, photography, sculpture, fine craft, live music and more from Canada’s top artists. Set throughout the cobblestone lanes of the Distillery Historic District in downtown Toronto.

 

3. SING! The Toronto Vocal Arts Festival

Celebrating the best in Acappella Music from around the world.

 

4. InsideOut – LGBT Film Festival

For more than two decades, Inside Out has brought Toronto’s LGBT community together in celebration of the best queer film from Canada and around the world.

 

5. Carassauga Festival

Showcasing over 70 countries at different pavilions throughout Mississauga. Travel the world without leaving the city.

 

6. Doors Open Toronto

Free and rare access to 150 architecturally, historically, culturally and socially significant buildings across the city. Doors Open Toronto 2017 is part of TO Canada with Love, the City of Toronto’s year-long program of celebrations, commemorations and exhibitions marking Canada’s 150th birthday.
